Hey guys!-
Just a few notes.
I made this ages ago, so ignore the terrible examples, and this is on another site, and it is mine. I realize there is no script f/u in 2.4. You need to save it as a .PNG in your GIMP Patterns folder. I'll try and get a new tutorial for this soon, no promises though. Posted for the thecherryontop. [:
Step 1:
Create a new image. Make sure it matches my box.

Step 2:
You're gonna wanna zoomin as far as you can. At the bottom zoom into 800%

Step 3:
Okay now you need to click the pencil tool to get ready to create the scan lines. Set the brush to Circle (3).

Step 4:
Take your pencil tool and make a diagnol line. It should be bottom left, the center, and top right.

Step 5:
Now you're ready to save your pattern. Go to Script-##>Selection>To Pattern.

Step 6:
Now a pop up will come up. Name the file and the pattern. I named mine scanlines.

Step 7:
Now select the bucket tool, then choose pattern fill and select the scanline pattern we just made.

Step 8:
Here comes the creative part, create your own image or signature! I'm just gonna use an old image I made.

Step 9:
When you finish your image go to Edit>Fill with Pattern.

Your results should come out something like this!
