What is yavn up to?

After asking staff questions and doing some research about yavn i have found out this.. I asked a staff from vmk that is here on vfk , and asked what is yavn ( Paul Yanover ) doing now that vfk closed , all i got was he is doing something else now ( still in the disney internet group )and he said in the last vmk newsletter that he will be either flying around in pixie hollow or in potco if either of you are in one of those games , for me it is potco he will continue to create the future of the WDIG. Disney announced that they will spend millions of dollars on building 7 new virtual online games such as cars online and the currently in beta mode Pixie Hollow. VMK'S LAST NEWSLETTER Quote : VMK was just the beggining , just wait to see what were imagining next! - yavn , And those were the famous last words of yavn speaks.

If he has, or plans, to leave partnering with Disney, then I'd guess he'd go back to designing other video games as he did prior to working with Disney.

Yes i am now looking at that more closely and yes I think you are true in parts of it. The cowboy suit looks fake BUT I still do believe yavn wrote all those letters and was still developing vmk until the end , but never did make big appearences in the kingdom.

It's an entirely edited image.
There was no spot in VMK that
looked like that. So, of course all
of those avatars of QAs and developers
are going to {look} different. You can't really expect
whoever made that image to have all of the characters
on file waving. And nobody's perfect, so you can't expect

Maybe the reason VMK got worse towards the end is because he had finished his work there and moved on to the next game which was his job. Oh, goodness, does it really matter if it was edited or not? Nobody would notice "white dots" on shoes unless they looked closely. And the screen of that was only up for a matter of seconds, then the game popped up. But I think it's silly how some of you are making a big deal about this whole white dot and fake cowboy stuff--and the waving stuff..

That is an interesting theory, but I'd have to say that if another staff member wanted a picture of Yavn they would have the ability to log onto his account. It would seem unpractical to edit an old picture in (assuming the rest of the staff members weren't, and that the loading screen was a snapshot from VMK) if you could access his account. He was seen a few weeks prior to closing, so he or another staff member could pose his avatar in a picture.

Uhhh, Yavn left VMK in late 2006, early 2007 for a reason. I know most of you remember the person, Yavn's wife on VMK. That person was a community leader before the Princess Minnie hat was released. Yavn and this community were in a relationship, and released the Princess Minnie hat for one day for her. After this incident, Yavn was moved from his producer title down to a VMK Staff member. It is rumored that it was the VMK_Flight account that he took over, but no one is really to sure.

I'm not sure where you got any of this information, nor have I heard anything of Yavn's wife. As far as I have known, the early release of the Minnie hat was either a mistake or a purposeful release for all players. Every player could get the hat at the time; care to elaborate on why you believe that the release was meant for a specific person?

Also, Yavn came from the work Yavin which is a plante in one of the starwars movies. Back when VMK was in alpha mode you could only have a four letter name. He dropped the i and, bam! He became Yavn.

I know that Seth had the nickname of "Yavn" long before VMK's release, atleast back in 1999 prior to Ultima IX: Ascension. I do remember a comment made by him on Yavn Speaks about the planet Yavin, but I'm unsure if this is why he chose the name Yavn or not.

There is speculation about him leaving a while before VMK closed. Last I knew he didn't leave until mid 2007 or a tad bit latter. Before that yavn was always the head guy at VMK and never got "demoted". (of course he has other characters ;))

What is he doing right now? I believe he with the Disney Company still. Whether it's with the internet group or not? Let's leave that for him to confirm. ;)

After research, Seth is no longer in the game designing branch of Disney, he helps program other things. Though he is still making games with other companies.

Ok, we now Yavn left for a few reasons.

1) There was no new things from April 07' - October 07', Yavn being the lead producer, had to have someting to do with this.

2) "Yavn" the player stopped logging on in early May.

3) There was no Yavn speaks except for "Yavn's Vacation"

4) Yavn claimed on his Blog he started working for something else in 2007.
