I have a question regarding the gas tanks in Audubon. I drive right over them and they don't register. Is this a bug or is there another way to get them?

that has happened to me, but then i finally got them, so i guess its just a special way of getting them.

this is a bug that i think seriously needs fixed. You have to drive right over it with the middle of the truck in the game

Yea, most people have been having this problem, including me. It's a bug, and hopefully it should be gone by the time beta ends.

You have to drive over it "correctly."

The jeep has to drive over it like right in the center.
Or with a wheel.

I've found that to hit the gas on most levels you must make contact with it with the area directly in front of your car; you can't drive sideways or at and angle and touch it with the side of your car.

The only time you hit it with the SIDE of your car is in the second level area where it is like inbetween 2 rocks and such.

Actually, you have to drive over it, but act as if you're running it over with the front of the jeep hitting it too.

It's happened to me before, the car goes right over the gas tank but doesn't pick up any gas. It's probably a glitch, since on VMK the boat can go over the gas can with whatever side and still pick it up.

This happens to me all the time in the game. That's why I dont play it.

I hope that they come out with a better game soon.

I too run over them and watch them sit there and ONLY I USE UP GAS...
never get past level 5...at the start room I only have 35 points in gas :(
I hope it gets fixed...it gets frustrating to hear people saying..."I have no trouble at all!"
makes it seems like I HAVE THE PROBLEM...so thanks to all for sharing...

It's a bug that I hope is fixed when the official release happens.
