Well, I used to visit the "Birthday" thread pretty often to see if it was anyone's birthday. The thing is..it's in the Louisana Purchase, closed, along with many other threads. If it's closed there's nothing you can really do with the thread. I was wondering if there's anyway to AVOID a thread that can stay continuous for a pretty long amount of time from closing..?

Okay, let me explain. After a thread is like pretty old it goes to the Louisiana Purchase forum and it is CLOSED. The thing is there are certain threads that can continuously be used even if it is pretty old. Like the Birthday thread, people should be able to continue posting their Birthdays.
