Is it Possible to make our own VMK?!?

Since Sulake closed VMK. Is it even allowed to make a VMK for us?!? Idk if its illegal to make our own VMK. Could we just do different themes and change the name of VMK to something else?!? I am going to try to make one. But maybe try to get some answers from you guys so i know if i should do it. Should I do it?!?

One thing you really wan't to worry about, is how you're going to deal with Money Managment. Once you have that figured out, you should get started! I hope to see your game in the future!

Well, TrackSpookyElement is helping me with the game. Yes, I will have to know a lot about coding and computer graphics but I been doing it for some time because I play on this game titled Halo Custom Edition which makes you use the Halo Editing Kit which makes you create maps and work on computer graphics. Maybe you can check out some of my maps when I take a picture of them. :D

You would have to create 40+ rooms, make transparent characters.. etc.. Besides that, there is coding behind every little thing you need to build. You would need someone with at least 6 years of experience to do this, along with several developers and graphic designers. Although it seems very difficult, I believe you can get some parts done without further help.

I just found out, according to the United States Copyright Database that VMK was never put into the database which is really odd and if VMK existed, why did they not put a copyright on? Well, that answer will be up to you guys. My opinion on the answer was that Disney mentioned that VMK closed bc of a promotion so if you close bc of a promotion, no copyright is needed? Really weird and VMK lasted longer than the promotion, why didn't the copyright exist?

Well, that's true. Disney can't sue of force them to end VMKU because of no copyright was even filed in. It's really dumb that Disney forgot to put a copyright in but great because VMK will be coming back from FSP and nothing, not even Disney, can stop it.

Good advice I would do that. They copyright laws are very strict, but you can get around them but not breaking any rules. There are always loop holes.

Well, the entire VMK Copyright never existed so no copyright means you can recreate VMK entirely. According to the US Copyright Database, no copyright on VMK was on the Walt Disney Company area. When I clicked Walt Disney, no copyright was on VMK, only ToonTown, POTCO, and other online games.

If they miss one thing, either companies will probably sue. Sulake is known for suing people for very slight things, even sued a group of teenagers. Disney will most likely probably sue too.

Well, Sulake you mean, because they developed it and such. I don't know who exactly holds the copyright but I guess Disney or Sulake holds the key. Unless some millionaire or a billionaire bails us out of it, there's no way we can get hold of that copyright.

Well, of course Sulake doesn't hold what Disney has, but remember, VMK was made by Sulake, I think Sulake holds the copyright or something like that. If they do, it will take less money to buy the copyright (If we are rich enough to buy one) so we can take the game back.

We can attempt to buy VMK's copyright if possible, right? It's possible to buy something a company owns and take it and do what you want it to do. If you bought the VMK copyright, what would you do with it?

Oh, so buying the copyright isn't such a good idea, right? Well, that was the last chance to save VMK, besides trying recreating our own. The recreating part is still going strong so we still have a shot at it.

Guys, someone may have already said this, but GPDOT is gonna make everything that vmk had i think, just he is not going to make it online so there wont be other players around you (i heard though, that he will make AI avatars moving around saying random stuff at times tho)

Interesting. At least GPDOT is doing a non-online recreation of VMK to remember it. At least we can have AI avatars so it feels like VMK.

Well, I know you can't make copies of VMK but if you were to do, without being detected by Disney, how would you be able to do what VMK did? I am not really well trained but how would you, if you remain undetected?

That's impossible. Disney and other company's are always looking for copy cat's that way they can sue and say we thought of that. Change the name to MARVELAND as I said make new world's lands, games, character creations, pins, Magic.
