Hello,

Beta Day 12A:

They have updated their servers and added two new western rooms. One of them is a Horse Barn and the other is a Marcantile. (looks just like VMK's...)

Pictures have been added to the first post. One thing I dislike is how much it looks like VMK's Mercantile. Almost looks like they took the floor plan/blue prints from them. No big creativity.

I don't want this to be an exact replica of VMK. There are many things about VMK that should be left in the grave and not picked up by VFK. Some of the same stuff is okay, but not all.

Still, even though this game was meant to be a new home for VMKers, they need some new, better ideas. You can't make a good game without good ideas.

1) vfk is modeled after vmk
2) vfk producers had 7-8 weeks to make a mmorpg not alot of planning went into it
3) i like the fact that it resembles vmk that way it is a shard of a memory :)

If I were to ask 20 of you to draw a picture of a cowboy, what is the probability that most of you will draw a person with a cowboy hat, boots, possibly chaps and jeans. Might even throw in a horse too.

The old west is not that different. You need an area for inventory (simple though it's the old west), a counter for a cash register and maybe some expensive stuff from behind the counter.

I don't see a dance hall here like the Golden Horseshoe has or a teleporter to whatever mystic might be popping up there ...

It's the old west... granted the first image on VFK of the tea party was a direct copy, but you haven't seen it since, and they took it down.

I hate how badly the staff's grammar is (at least in this picture). You'd think they'd have people working who have good grammar...

VFK added the new message system today. I haven't found out is there's any notification to tell you if you got a new message yet (like on VMK the envelope flashed and you heard a noise).

i think they are doing this to make
vfk players feel more comfortable playing,
since it will be similar to vmk.
